Support for Students

Clinical placements for talking and creative therapy students

The Village Orchard offers clinical placements to students of talking and creative therapies.

Our placements are:

  • For students looking for their second or third clinical placements

  • Available Monday - Friday, between 9am and 4pm

  • Offered with in-house supervision (if required)

  • Supported with 6-weekly group peer supervision sessions

  • Based at our home in Old Carrow House

Our placements provide a space for students to gain the required face to face client hours in a supportive and engaging environment. With a multi-disciplinary team around you to provide insight and a view of their experiences, there are many opportunities to chat and gain knowledge. Our placements can be flexible around days and times to suit existing timetables.

We work from our home at Old Carrow House, close to Norwich City Centre.

Placements are offered subject to interview.

If you would like to find out more more or be considered for a placement, please get in touch with us through the contact form.

Village Orchard East is an exceptional organisation for secondary placements. The clinical lead, Natalie Tayte, expertly guides students through building and maintaining case loads effectively, whilst also providing invaluable support navigating complex trauma cases.

The rooms at Carrow House are welcoming, creating a warm and nurturing therapeutic space. I would recommend contacting the team to discuss possible placements here. It is an amazing team to be part of.” - Susie - Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
